Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is available on Nintendo Switch 2 with both the original game and its expansion included. Nintendo of America's new launch trailer introduces the package, which brings Capcom's single-player fantasy RPG sequel to a Nintendo system for the first time.
This is an expanded version of Dragon's Dogma 2, not a third game or an expansion-only purchase. The original arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 22, 2024. Switch 2 newcomers can start with that adventure and have Dark Arisen's additional content in the same package.
Despite the video's arrival today, the game launched on October 9. Nintendo's US store lists it at $49.99, while the UK listing confirms TV, tabletop and handheld play and a 49.6 GB download.
The adventure centres on the Arisen, a customisable protagonist whose vocation determines their combat role. Capcom describes the original game's party system as a single-player journey alongside Pawns, otherworldly companions. Having a party does not make this a multiplayer RPG: Nintendo lists one player for the Switch 2 release.

Dark Arisen's Forsaken Dominion story takes the party into Norgan, an abandoned region in the snowy north, where the mysterious Eir and an undying Fallen Dragon figure in the new adventure. Relics found there can be appraised to unlock weapons and skills. Lost Rites also adds 12 dungeon challenges to the main area, so the expansion extends both the world and the places an existing party can explore.
Nintendo has not specified a Switch 2 frame-rate or resolution target in the trailer description or its store listings.
