Pokémon TCG Pocket will give players roughly six weeks between new booster pack releases, up from about four, when its C Series begins in late October 2026. Alongside the slower release schedule, rental decks will become available as soon as new packs arrive, lose their usage limits and gain support for versus battles.
The Operations Team's development letter, reproduced by PTCGPocket.gg, says players have found it difficult to collect the volume of cards released through the B Series. The longer gap is intended to give collections more time to grow, with expanded missions and events filling the weeks between releases.
This concerns how often new packs are introduced, not how long players wait to open individual packs. The official game site describes the iOS and Android game's existing allowance of two free booster packs per day.
Rental decks and copied decks work differently
Removing rental-deck usage limits will let players keep battling with those decks without exhausting a fixed allowance. Making them available at each new pack's release also gives players an immediate way to try cards through rental play.
Community Decks, another planned feature, serves a different purpose. Players will be able to browse popular player-created decks and friends' decks in-game, then copy them using their own cards. Copying a deck list will not supply cards missing from a collection.

The new series will also introduce dual-type Pokémon and Limited Battle Events that restrict which cards can be used. Those events are planned for a set period after each booster release, with rewards including battle accessories and promo packs based on wins.
Dual-type cards were announced at PokémonXP in August, starting with the Psychic- and Fighting-type Mega Mewtwo X ex. The October letter places their arrival within the same new series as the collecting and deck changes.
More cards through missions
Some immersive cards will become collection-completion mission rewards. These will be different from the immersive cards available in new-series booster packs, so the missions add another route to those animated illustrations without replacing pack pulls.
Special Pack: First Partners will feature starter Pokémon from the nine regions visited by the main video game series. It will use separate special pack stamina that recovers weekly. New one-star promo card missions will also arrive weekly over three weeks, with each completed mission set awarding one of three illustrated promo card varieties.
Trading and sharing improvements include showing cards of any rarity missing from a trade partner's card dex and identifying cards on a share partner's wishlist.
The letter gives a late-October start for the new series, not a firm day for every feature. Further additions are planned alongside subsequent booster releases, and both the features and their timing remain subject to change during development.
