GTA 6 buyers should reportedly be able to read reviews before the November 19 launch, but there is no public date to plan around yet. Insider Gaming says it has learned a preliminary review embargo and is withholding the timing because it could change.

An ahead-of-release review does not necessarily mean a long wait between the verdict and launch. IGN's original GTA V review appeared on September 16, 2013, one day before that game's September 17 release. That is a precedent, not a schedule for GTA 6: the new report does not say how much time buyers will have to weigh reviews before release.

Early access would not mean October reviews

There is also a claim that critics will get access this month. RockstarINTEL reports that NateTheHate wrote on ResetEra that review copies had not yet been distributed but would be sent before the end of October. If accurate, that would give reviewers more than two weeks before launch, without telling readers when their coverage can appear.

The review-copy and embargo reports covered by Rockstar Report remain unconfirmed by Rockstar. The reported access window should not be treated as a promise of reviews in October.

Rockstar's official GTA 6 page lists November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It gives no review timetable.
