PC players could get Grand Theft Auto VI less than five months after its console launch, according to a new report placing the PC version in Q1 2027. That means January through March, although Rockstar has not announced a PC edition or committed to a date.

GamesBeat reports that four industry sources familiar with Rockstar's plans supplied the window. All requested anonymity to protect business relationships, and Rockstar did not respond to the outlet's request for comment before publication. Rockstar Report also covered the reported PC launch window.

If the plan holds, the wait would be much shorter than it was for GTA 5. That game arrived on consoles in September 2013, with its PC release following on April 14, 2015, roughly 19 months later.

A PC window is not a Steam release date

The report does not establish which storefronts would carry GTA 6 at launch. There is no confirmed Steam, Epic Games Store or Rockstar Games Launcher release schedule for the game.

Rockstar has previously staggered availability within a PC launch. Its Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement set November 5, 2019 for PC, with sales through the Rockstar Games Launcher and other retailers including Epic. Steam availability was scheduled for December. That does not predict GTA 6's store lineup, but it shows why a reported PC quarter cannot be treated as a date for every store.

The confirmed GTA 6 launch remains November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two's pre-order announcement describes a single-player release, with the standard edition priced at $79.99 and digital pre-loading beginning November 12. Those are console details, not announced PC terms.

PC pricing, system requirements and an exact release date remain unannounced.
