Gran Turismo 7's free Spec IV Part 1 update arrives on October 15 for PS5 and PS4, adding Sugo International Racing Course, six cars and a new way to order older vehicles for your collection. The Collector Level cap also rises from 70 to 90.
The update is version 1.72. PlayStation's announcement gives its rollout time as 11pm PDT on October 14, or 7am BST and 3pm JST on October 15. An internet connection is required to download it, and the new cars still cost in-game credits, earned through play or bought separately.
Sugo joins the race calendar
The new circuit in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, measures 3,586 metres and has 13 corners. Its elevation changes include a gradient of up to 10 percent at the final corner leading onto the main straight.
Three of the update's six new World Circuits events use Sugo: European Sunday Cup 400, World Touring Car 600 and World Touring Car 800. The remaining events take place at Autopolis Short Course, Spa-Francorchamps and Dragon Trail Seaside Reverse.

The six-car lineup covers very different kinds of driving. Ferrari's F355 Berlinetta '94 and the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo join the Mazda RX-VISION GT3 EVO '26 and Honda Civic Si Group A version '87. The other additions are the Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston '86 and Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line '23.
Car Concierge takes orders for older models
Polyphony Digital's detailed update notes explain the collecting changes. Brand Central gains a Vintage section for cars from 2000 and earlier, with links through to the Legend Cars and Used Cars dealerships.
Players who have reached the ending can also use Car Concierge to specify a model, colour and condition, then have the service search for a matching vehicle. The number of simultaneous orders depends on Collector Level, up to a maximum of four.
The higher level cap comes with three new Café Extra Menus: High-Performance EVs at level 75, Tuned GT-Rs at level 80 and Le Mans Winners at level 90.
Brand Central also gains Experience driving challenges for Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai and Polestar. In the Garage, Car Viewer lets players inspect their current vehicle from different angles, change the background, turn the front wheels and switch lights on or off for photos. A refreshed opening cinematic and Scapes curations for Angeles Crest Highway and Sportsland Sugo round out the additions.
Alongside the update, Sony announced a Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense controller. Pre-orders open at participating retailers on October 22 at 10am local time, ahead of a global launch starting December 10. Recommended prices are $84.99 in the US, €84.99, £74.99 and ¥12,480 including tax in Japan; quantities are limited and retailer prices may vary.
