Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is getting a $34.99 Expansion Pass on Nintendo Switch 2, but its new stories won't arrive until 2027. The first wave is available now and supplies weapons for the four heroes, with gods and outfits following during holiday 2026.
Nintendo's US store listing confirms that the price covers all three waves. They cannot be bought separately, and the base game is required, so anyone chiefly interested in the additional stories is buying a package whose narrative additions are still months away.
The story content is concentrated in Wave 3. Nintendo names Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia as the focus of the new stories and also promises recruitable allies and unlockable classes. Those additions will give players more characters and combat roles to work with, although the listing does not specify their number or a release date beyond 2027.
Fortune's Weave already splits its adventure across four heroes and different points in time. In Nintendo's August Direct report, the company explained that players can follow Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda's paths in parallel, retaining progress for each while travelling between their stories. The new character-focused tales will expand a tactical RPG that already lets players approach its central conflict through several perspectives. Nintendo has not yet explained how the DLC stories connect to those existing routes.
The nearer-term additions are smaller in scope. Wave 1 provides prototype weapons modelled after the Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Wave 2 lets players enlist the gods Aurora, Smyrnos and Jurah in battle, alongside new wearable outfits. Its holiday 2026 window has no exact date attached.
Developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo, Fortune's Weave launched exclusively on Switch 2 on September 17. Its turn-based battles follow a journey to gather allies across time and prevent the demon god Balor from destroying the world.
