Call of Duty: Warzone launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 6 as Season 1 integrates Modern Warfare 4 and introduces the Hajin and Zodiac maps. The same update ends support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Activision's November 2 Warzone breakdown sets the launch for midnight Eastern on November 6, or 9pm Pacific on November 5. That is 5am GMT on November 6 in the UK and Ireland. Players leaving the older consoles can carry their progression to a supported platform by signing in with the same linked Activision account.
The free-to-play release follows Modern Warfare 4's Switch 2 launch on October 23. Nintendo's launch announcement covered the paid game's campaign, Multiplayer and DMZ; Warzone arrives separately with Season 1, including the other platforms' maps and playlists.
Hajin and Zodiac arrive before Verdansk and Rebirth Island
Hajin is the new large-scale Battle Royale map, spanning locations in North and South Korea across 13 major points of interest. City streets, farmland and forested hills give squads different terrain to fight over, while variable weather changes conditions between deployments. Eliminated players get a chance to return through one of two Gulag variants, each using a 1v1 duel.
Zodiac serves Resurgence, with ten points of interest around a South Korean drone manufacturing complex. Its factories, rooftops and underground routes are joined by moving trains and interactive environmental hazards.

Verdansk and Rebirth Island are both scheduled to return later in Season 1, not as part of the opening map lineup. New equipment includes a Zipline Launcher for creating traversal routes and a Grabber Drone that can retrieve loot or move a downed teammate.
A level reset and limits on older guns
Season 1 resets Player Level and introduces shared leveling and optional Prestige across Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. The arsenal includes all 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons plus seasonal additions, alongside Apex Attachments, challenges and shared Battle Pass and BlackCell progress.
Warzone's Tactical Sprint becomes available without a perk, though its duration is slightly shorter. Players can also drag allies while reviving them. Activision promises weapon tuning, clearer visibility and improved footstep audio.
Older weapons remain accessible, but they will not offer the same customization as Modern Warfare 4 guns. Weapons from Modern Warfare II through Black Ops 7 sit in a Legacy tab and cannot be edited in Gunsmith. They also lack support for Modern Warfare 4 features including Mastery Camos, Reticle Challenges and Build Sharing.
Legacy base weapons come with five attachments. Blueprints retain their existing attachment setups, but those legacy blueprints will initially be locked and must be unlocked through Player XP in the Armory.
