Witchbrook arrives on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on January 28, 2027, while R.E.P.O. and Slime Rancher 2 are joining the Switch 2 library next year. Nintendo's latest Indie World also has something closer at hand: four free demos scheduled for October 28 and Sword of the Sea launching on Switch 2 the following day.
According to Nintendo's showcase recap, the demos cover Haunted Paws, Petal Runner, RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition and the newly revealed Winds of Viridia. They are due to roll out later on October 28.
Witchbrook's January launch and physical-edition plans
Chucklefish's life sim puts players through Witchbrook College while they settle into the seaside town of Mossport, make friends and pursue relationships. Nintendo confirms support for up to four players online.
The January 28 date also appears in Chucklefish's release announcement, dated October 27. The developer sets the digital launch price at $24.99, with further regional pricing to come. Standard and Collector's physical editions are planned for after the digital release; their platforms and fuller details have not yet been announced.

Spirit Crossing offers a different kind of shared life sim sooner. The MMO from Cozy Grove developer Spry Fox launches on November 16 as a console exclusive for Switch and Switch 2, with players building homes and working together to restore connections between worlds.
Switch 2 releases stretch into 2027
R.E.P.O. is due on Switch 2 in 2027, without a narrower release window in Nintendo's announcement. Its online co-op horror revolves around extracting valuables with a physics-based grabbing tool, where handling a fragile object badly can derail a run. Slime Rancher 2 has a more specific window: January 2027.
For a nearer release, Giant Squid's Sword of the Sea reaches Switch 2 on October 29. The adventure uses a Hoversword to surf across sand and water as players explore and restore a lost ocean. RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition follows on November 10, with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for its coin-pusher roguelike.
Two action games have broader 2027 windows. Deepnight Games' roguelike brawler Tenjutsu is coming to Switch 2. Newly revealed City of None, an action-puzzle platformer from one of Celeste's co-creators, is coming to both Switch systems.
What can be played first?
Alongside the four demos, Bao Bao's Cozy Cleaning Services is scheduled to launch on Switch on October 28. It supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players.
The demos span quite different games. Haunted Paws is a two-player adventure about puppies rescuing a missing human; Petal Runner follows motorcycle couriers delivering digital pets. Winds of Viridia is an action-adventure with running, sliding and grappling, while RACCOIN focuses on coin combinations and high scores.
Their full releases are spread out: RACCOIN arrives on November 10, Petal Runner on March 8, 2027, Winds of Viridia in early 2027 and Haunted Paws in May 2027. Nintendo's recap links the four demo announcements to their Switch 2 store pages.
