Dead by Daylight's Terrifier chapter is now playable in the Steam Public Test Build, giving PC players a chance to try Art the Clown and Sienna Shaw before the full release on November 24, 2026. This is the test build, not the chapter's launch across the game's platforms.
Art joins as a Killer whose weapons change at random, while Sienna arrives as a Survivor with perks for item use, protection hits and pallet stuns. The update also adds Hartshorne Mall, an original map separate from the two film characters.
Art's Bag of Toys changes his attacks
Behaviour Interactive's character breakdown details Art's Bag of Toys power. He draws weapons from a trash bag, with a flail, flamethrower, firearm, acid-filled beer bottle and bike horn among the possibilities.
Successful hits make the toys deadlier, eventually allowing Art to knock down injured Survivors and execute them. Each weapon has its own Mini-Mori animation.
His perks also add pressure around generators. Funny Business grants temporary Haste and a random effect when he damages one, which can range from blocking generators to releasing confetti. Laughingstock inflicts Exhausted and Oblivious on Survivors near completed generators. Kill Spree lets him kill the remaining Survivors once all generators are finished and all remaining Survivors have reached two Hook States.
Sienna's perks give the other side new options. Best Gift Ever trades dropped items for passive abilities. Shared Trauma lets Survivors within 12 metres recover from Exhausted while running after she takes a protection hit. Valkyrie's Rage strengthens a pallet stun after a chase.
Hartshorne Mall adds an abandoned shopping centre
The new map takes players through deserted shops and corridors. In the developer details published by Bleeding Cool, Behaviour describes it as a response to requests for more liminal spaces. Its background also connects to Dwight Fairfield, who encountered The Entity there as a child.
